It's good to have you out in the House of the Lord. John chapter 6 is where we are this morning.

I'm going to be covering all of John 6. Now, it's the longest chapter in the gospel of John.

And so if you have reading glasses, keep them on. You're going to need them.

Because we're going to be tackling this whole chapter. And it's a chapter that is full of some

important information here as a dialogue and as some miracles unfold. And I just want us to see it

all. So I'm going to start out of John 6 and read just the first 14 verses. The first part of this story is probably very familiar if you've been around church for very long.

The first part of chapter 6 is about the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000.

It is what happens after this that is unique to the Gospel of John that we're going to focus on primarily.

But I'll start with the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000.

I'm going to read John 6, verses 1 to 14.

It says, after these things, Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberius.

And then a great multitude followed him because they saw his signs, which he performed on those

And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near.

And then Jesus lifted up his eyes and seeing a great multitude coming toward him, he said to Philip,

But this he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

And Philip answered him, 200 denari worth of bread is not sufficient for them,
