And tonight we're going to just really focus on Christianity and culture. And culture is very broad.

So specifically, we are taking questions on government and politics.

So let's dive in, Dad, with a good question here, talking about government.

And it's a kind of a detailed question.

So it says, someone texted in, Daniel 221 says that God removes kings and sets up kings. Romans 13 1 through 7 says that all

government authorities are established by God. There's another passage in 1st Peter chapter 2 that

talks about submitting to government. Further, the person says 1 Samuel 1523 says that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

So in considering these four passages was the American Revolution biblically legitimate.

So it's a good question.

And kind of just to summarize this, the Bible does have a lot to say about submitting to government and submitting to authority.

The Bible says that God ordained and established government.

And so when it comes to this kind of idea of, but what if government goes against what God's word says

how are we supposed to react because God ordains government so should we just submit and specifically

the person asks about the American Revolution obviously that being a rebellion was was that biblically legitimate so you you're the one that told me
