David believed that God would deliver him, even though he didn't know how. He trusted in God more than he feared Saul. 0:11.6	I'm Patrick Miller. And I'm Keith Simon. Right now we're working through the story of David's life found in First and Second Samuel.
0:18.0	In our last episode we learned about Jonathan's friendship with David.
0:23.7	In Chapter 19, Jonathan rescues David from one of his father, Saul's murderous plots.
0:30.0	And now David is officially an outlaw, a fugitive, on the run for his life.
0:36.0	And so the next question is obvious.
0:38.0	Where is he going to go?
0:40.0	We pick up in chapter 21 verse one.
0:43.4	David went to Knob to a himelek the priest.
0:47.4	Okay, so where does David flee in these terrible circumstances?
0:51.9	To the place of God's presence.
0:55.4	A himelek trembled when he met him and said,
0:58.3	why are you alone?
0:59.5	Why is no one with you?
1:01.5	A himelek is wondering whether all of David's warriors with you
1:05.0	alone right now.
1:07.0	or maybe he even suspects that things have finally gone upside down with Saul.
1:11.0	We really have no idea.
1:13.4	Verse 2, David answered a him elect the priest.
1:17.2	The king sent me on a mission and said to me,
1:19.9	no one is to know anything about the mission I am sending you on.
1:24.0	Okay, so here's why David says he's alone.
