In our culture, it's very okay to say, I'll respect him when he deserves respect or I'll honor him when he deserves honor. For me as a wife, like, I want to love you in a way that you feel loved. You feel loved when the house is warm, it's welcoming. You can walk through it. As a husband, when you honor me, and I've told you this, like, there's nothing in this world that I would not give to you. There's nothing I have that is not gladly given to you.

When you respect your husband, you notice him, you regard him, you honor him, you prefer him, and esteem him.

Dishonoring. Yeah. Disrespect, dishonor. I know they're not interchangeable. I would say, gosh,

Yeah, well, disrespect, to me, it feels more one-to-one direct to the person.

I'm disrespecting you, whereas right here, whereas I could dishonor you even with you out, with you not in the room.
