My name is Amanda. I'm an author.

I've had unexplainable experiences since I was a little girl.

I've many stories.

So I thought that I would start with a couple. My great-grandmother died when I was six. Every day in the third grade, at the door to my classroom, I would see her standing there, watching over me and smiling.

We did a project that was very common when I was in school.

We raised caterpillars into butterflies.

They were supposed to come out of their cocoon on a certain date. On my birthday my teacher came up to me and said to look at mine. My Caterpillar had come out of its cocoon early. I turned around and smiled at my great grandma standing at the door.

That one is not scary to me. I have others that definitely did scare me. So for years I have not

messed with Ouija boards. Unfortunately in the 90s and early 2000s when I was growing up, these were very popular and were

marketed as toys.

I don't even remember where mine came from, and I'm not even mad at the person who got it for me.

Like I said they were marketed as toys.

I did use it a few times one time with my cousin, she was older and was babysitting me.

We were home alone. I don't even remember most of what the board said, but it involved a spirit named Adam.

My cousin and I were afraid to go to the bathroom alone. Then in the fourth grade my friend and I used it. We're about 10 at the time.

At some point the Planchette flew across the room. It hit the corner of the ceiling and

fail. I had birds at the time. They started chirping like crazy.

We grabbed the board and the planchet and went to check on the birds.

They were in the corner of the living room near the couch.
