U.S. stocks are higher at the open. The S&P 500 is up two tenths per cent, or about four

points now at 1992. Now Jones industrial average up a tenth of a percent or 20 points to

17,019 and the NASDAQ's up a quarter percent or 11 points to

4685. Ten-year Treasury down 2.30 seconds, the yield 1.88 percent, a yield on the two-year

year 0.91 percent.

Nomex crude oil down 2.2 percent or 83 cents to 3746 a barrel.

Comex gold is up 4 tenth percent or $5.40 to $12.63 announced.

The euro at $1.10.37 and the yen is at $113.73.
