It's one of those things that's really difficult to understand much less talk about.

We are created as emotional and spiritual creatures.

Created to do one thing in life is live fully, but we can't do it unless we live fully in a relationship.

We don't live in a relational world anymore.

I'm so excited because today we are talking about feelings.

Do you know I love talking about this?

I have lots of feelings.

I have so many feelings.

My feelings have feelings.

Like this is going to be a really fun episode.

And then I get to sit down with the brilliant and amazing author Chip Dodd.

He has an incredible book called Voice of the Heart among other books.

And we're going to talk about the appropriate role that feelings have in our lives.

But first let's go ahead and kick this off and talk about our feelings.

Well, I'm going to tell you a story and example of this.

So about I guess it was 10 years ago.

My now husband and I were dating at the time.

So we weren't married and in fact it was probably like pretty early into our relationship

where we were coming up on the holidays.

And it was going to be our first Christmas together.
