I don't know if this is a thing that women struggle with more than men.

I don't know if it's a personality style thing.

We don't understand how to overcome these challenges and these barriers that keep us

from investing in ourselves, that keep us from growing.

And we're never gonna grow.

Hey everyone and welcome to the Christie Wright Show.

I'm so excited because today we are talking about how to grow as a person and as a leader.

Then later on in the show I'm gonna sit down and unpack an article for you that I saw

on Forbes.com about why you should invest in yourself.

This is a great reminder for all of us as we tend to put ourselves in last place in

our own lives.

But first let's talk about how to grow.

Now I've got to give you an example you know I love stories to teach from and there is

one specific example from my life that has always stuck with me.

So senior year of high school I played soccer and I was the captain of the soccer team.

In fact just for fun, brought to my yearbook.

Yeah let's just go down memory lane for a second.

Really could have done some more work with the hair but I guess it was a soccer picture

so it doesn't matter.

Senior year this girl was confident in her skills.

All I was captain of the team, I was confident in my ability to play.
