0:00.0	Welcome, everybody. This is U.S. Grace Forest podcast. I'm Doug Barry, along with Father Heilman is sad because the Packers lost last Sunday. Yeah, I got pretty injured too. Yeah, they did. Yeah, Father Richard Holloman over there on the other side of the screen. And tonight we got back with us, Father Chris Alar. He's going to join us to talk about things about Christmas. You know, this is a great one, Father, because I think a lot of us, you know, as Catholics, we always hear the reason for the season is Jesus. And we know this, but there's, I know you're going to get into even more. There's more to unpack. You know, sometimes I think we feel like we get it together because, oh, no, I'm focused on Christ, but, you know, I get the shopping and the lights and the food and all that has its place, I know.
1:00.0	And, you know, some more than others, maybe depending upon their circumstances.
1:03.2	But I think there's deeper, more meditative and contemplative thoughts, I'm sure, to what Christmas is all about. And I'm really looking
1:12.0	forward to hearing this unpack. So thank you so much for joining us.
1:15.1	Thank you. It's all Christ-centered, but there's so many interesting peripheral angles to it
1:22.0	and fascinating how the traditions, like even the Christmas tree and, you know, why Christmas Day is on the 25th.
1:29.6	And we're being told, oh, it's pagan. So there's a lot of good stuff here in this Christmas story,
1:36.6	even from when is Christmas. So it's all great stuff. And I don't think we're going to discuss
1:43.1	whether or not Die hard is actually a
1:45.3	Christmas movie. So we probably won't get into that. Anyway, let's get started with a prayer.
1:50.9	Father, we always turn that over to you. All right. In the name of the Father, the Son,
1:54.6	the Holy Spirit, amen. St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against
2:00.5	the wickedness and snares the devil.
2:03.0	May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
2:05.6	And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
2:09.7	cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seek in the ruin of souls.
