to the public, in a case that, despite the hard work of investigators, remains a mystery.

On November 14, 2015, two brothers camping in the Klau Knaug forest in Demingshire Wales

stumbled upon the body of an unknown male victim. Walking around in the dark, one of the

brothers, Mark Middle, turned on his flashlight and began looking for some firewood when he found a skull lying on the forest floor covered in moss.

Realizing upon further examination that it was a human skull, Mark and his brother Andrew called the local police, who soon realized that,

underneath the brush, was the fully decomposed body of a man. Later nicknamed the

Klau Kinaug Forest Man. Immediately after the discovery, the police began a large-scale

search throughout the forest that spanned over the next five weeks.

Meanwhile, the remains were taken to a pathologist who was able to extract DNA from the skeleton

and place it into the UK National DNA database and the UK missing persons unit.

Neither came up with any match.

They did, however, determine that the victim was likely

born before 1950, was older than 54 at the time of his murder, and was a well-built man who
