I don't like the phrase pill-popping

because I think it trivialises an increasingly important issue. If I told you that one in four adults in England are now taking

medicines for pain, depression or insomnia, could you put my mind at rest and tell me why that's not

a cause for concern? I don't think at the moment that we'll be talking about John Burko,

largely because it seems to be a fairly pointless conversation.

It's a bit like Brexit, but the other way around.

People have been successfully conditioned into hating him, but they've got no idea why they are supposed to.

My personal problem with the man is born of all the outstanding complaints about bullying,

all of which he has, of course, denied, but none of which it would seem have been properly

investigated. There's a biography waiting to be written there, though. Do you know he used to be
