Hello welcome to the bunker you all need to know on news and politics.

campaign and who isn't consider how it feels in Ukraine.

The question of who sits in the Oval Office next year could make the difference between

continued American support in the war with Russia, that's the Kamala Harris policy, or a Trump administration that would be unreliable

at best and at worst would sell Kyiv out with outright appeasement of Vladimir Putin's territorial

aggression. Those are high stakes for Ukraine and the rest of Europe.

So here in the bunker we thought it was time to take stock of where things are in the war,

who's winning, what difference the US election makes and what prospects there might be for a peace deal that is more than just a capitulation to the Kremlin.

Here to discuss all this is Simon Shuster. For many years the correspondent for Time magazine

in Russia and Ukraine, an eminent authority on the politics of both countries.
