Summary

Send us Fan Mail There’s an annoying quirk to our psychology that means we can easily be drawn towards the exact thing that we’re trying to avoid, as the old saying goes 'be careful what you look for, because you just might find it.' Because the alternative means that you might have made yourself part of the problem, rather than the solution. And hello to you and welcome to the Richard Nichols podcast, the Personal Development

0:08.6

Podcast series that's here to help inspire, educate and motivate you to be the best you can be.

0:17.3

I'm psychotherapist Richard Nichols, and this is episode 156.

0:22.9

It's titled What We Fight, We Invite.

0:26.2

And if you're ready, we'll start the show.

Happy Easter!

0:33.5

If you're listening to this on the day that it comes out, that is.

1:23.3

things, but I don't really like talking about myself. Maybe that's just habit. I'd much

1:28.5

rather be talking about other people or listening to them talk about themselves. Maybe that's

1:32.8

just because of my job being a therapist. I'm not used to doing that much talking, so when I get

1:37.4

the opportunity, you can't shut me up, but I still don't like talking about myself. So the old,

1:41.9

oh, you know, work, rest and play, quote,

1:51.1

seems to work quite well. But in fairness, apart from work, rest and play, what else is there?
