I want to talk to you today about a word that's used a lot. We hear this word a lot on social

media, in the news, when it comes to mental and emotional health, and it's this. It's the term trigger. You know, what is a

trigger for somebody? What's triggering you? What triggers someone else? What's a trigger alert? It's become this really, you know, ubiquitous word that we see everywhere, because triggers can be everywhere based on our life, based on what we've endured until now, of course,

based on childhood experiences.

But there are a couple of things I want to say about this.

There is an old African proverb that goes like this. If there's no enemy

within, no enemy outside can do you any harm.

I come back to this a lot because I know those human beings we are meant to live in peace.

And so triggers are an invitation to know ourselves
