With that, let's get into the Word of God. We're going on Sunday mornings through 2 Corinthians now after having completed 1 Corinthians, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

And our text today will be chapter 1, verses 11 through 14. We're going to start back in verse 10, where we left off last week.

The Apostle Paul is writing in verse 10 of 2 Corinthians 1 and says, He has delivered us from

such a deadly peril and he will deliver us again.

On him, we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us as verse 11, you help us by your prayers.

Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Now, verse 12, this is our boast. Our conscience testifies

that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you,

with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so relying not only on not on worldly wisdom,

but on God's grace. For we do not write you anything, verse 13, you cannot read or understand.

And I hope that as you understand us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast

of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus. If you would join with me,

let's pray, we'll ask God's blessing on our understanding.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your Word and this portion that we have

opened before us today here in your Word.

Lord, we're looking with great anticipation to you by the Holy Spirit to speak into our lives very personally if need be and very powerfully,

as you're always so faithful to do. Lord, we want to give you our undivided attention

so that no distraction will keep us from that which you have
