I want you to know for those of you who were anticipating that we would start in First Chronicles tonight,

that I had fully intended to do that. In fact, we were going to actually do nine chapters, the first nine chapters.

And as humid as it is, you're already, wow.

So I mean, come on, you know, you can sit through a movie for two hours.

You can sit through a Bible study in First Chronicles, which is all about genealogies

for like four hours, right?

No, okay.

So actually it won't take us that long when we do. We will, Lord willing,

crack open First Chronicles next Thursday, but tonight in light of the terrorist attack and

Nice, I made the decision to preempt the teaching and address this unthinkable tragedy.

I mean, this is just unimaginable.

And so for the benefit of those who may not know what happened or are just now hearing about it,

I'll tell you what I have learned up to the minute

right before I left at least and we'll do that after we first pray. So if you would join

with me, let's just bow our hearts and prayer. Loving Heavenly Father, our hearts are

grieving and broken tonight as we see yet again evil visiting this world

at the hands of a Muslim who in the name of Allah has meted out this horrific and unthinkable terrorist attack, taking the lives

of so many, even children. And so Lord, we come to you tonight and we ask you in the name of Jesus to comfort these precious

people in France, to comfort many who are even now perhaps just waking up to the news of what happened.

Lord, I pray for the families of those who lost their lives in this attack. And Lord, I would pray that you would reveal yourself to them as you're always so faithful to do. Lord, I pray that many would turn their hearts to you because of this attack.

That people would begin to ask the right questions.

And that they would turn to you and seek you and when they seek
