I wanted to be transparent with you about this because TV networks have a role to play on election night, or at least the way we've all experienced it the last few years.

Do you think it's funny that we rehearse election night?

I was actually afraid to say the word rehearse because I thought people would think that, you know, it was predetermined or something. So I'm sitting down with my friend David Chalien, CNN's political director.

He's also been super kind to me as a television newbie.
