Imagine a world controlled by love. No more conflict, no more bitter debates, no more wars. A fanciful

thought, right? Well today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall reminds us that

although we can't control the attitudes of others, we can

certainly control our own. And as believers were commanded to love others just as

Jesus did. So how do we become agents of love and grace?

According to Galatians chapter 5, the answer is found in letting the spirit of God generate those virtues on our behalf.

Chuck Tidal today's message message what the world needs now. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians, words that continue to be relevant to our day.

As he addressed the subject of the fruit of the spirit, that would be what

the spirit of God produces in the life of the believer in Christ.

It isn't a long list of 20 or 30 ingredients.

It is a cluster of nine delicious virtues that when taken together there can be no fault

found in any of them. There is love and joy and peace. There is patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. And he adds at the end of the list

against such things that there is no law, no fault can be found in any one of them.

These are the things our lives produce through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We're working our way through that list of nine virtues,

and we begin with the one at the very top which Paul describes as the

greatest of all which is love. John wrote of it and of course Paul the Apostle wrote much about it.

John chapter 13 will be the basis of a portion of today's message and then we'll end at 1st

Corinthians 13 of course. So locate in your Bible a couple of verses in John 13,

34 and 35, and then put your finger on 1st Corinthians 13 beginning at verse 1.
