Hello there I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast so 2020 was a test for a lot

of things.

Our healthcare system, our democracy and even our patients.

But it also gave us a chance to test political polling.

After the election the bipartisan team of pollsters who conduct the National NBC News poll

evaluated the poll in the 10,000 interviews that we conducted throughout the year of 2020

and compared the results with actual voters from state voter files to see what we got

right and what we got wrong.

And yes for those keeping track at home our poll used to be called the NBC News Wall Street

Journal.

Wall Street Journal is no longer a heart.

So joining me today are two members of the team who worked to conduct our poll.

So look this is our after action report and I think I have two minds on this and we're

going to spend a lot of time on the technical today.

But I also want to spend some time on sort of are we asking too much of polling?

Are we asking for too much accuracy?

But we'll get to that at the beginning.
