promised with what the fuck is going on in Ukraine as I stated in the last episode know, this is the true crime podcast and what's going on in Ukraine is a true crime.

Full stop, it is a true crime, what is going on there on a day-to-day basis. I'd actually been thinking

about doing an episode like this for the last couple months actually because

especially right after Russia began the initial invasion, well actually started amassing troops on

Ukraine's border, a lot of people that I know, listeners or friends, expressed that they didn't

really understand what was going on.

And if you don't understand or follow international relations

geospatial politics anything like that it can be really confusing especially

when countries have a really long and complex history.

So I wanted to do a sort of a primer episode, and by no means is this the full account of the

history of Ukraine? This is a country that was taken over by

Stalin in like the 1930s. Millions of people died and then turned right around and

in 1941 Nazi Germany invaded them and murdered millions of

Ukrainians. This country has seen tragedy and tragedy after tragedy
