All right, let's get started. On Sunday mornings, before the prophecy update, we go through

1 Corinthians chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Today our text will be chapter 14 verses 26 through 32.

Once you find you way there, I'll ask you to stand if you're able. You can follow along as I read.

The Apostle Paul is writing, and by the Holy Spirit says, verse 26, what then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come

together, each of you has a hymn or a word of instruction, a revelation,

a tongue, or an interpretation.

Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

If verse 27, anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at the most three should speak one at a time,

and someone must interpret. If verse 28 there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet

in the church and speak to himself and to God. Two or three prophets, verse 29, should speak.

And the others, this is interesting, should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation

comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop, for you can all prophesy

in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits, verse 32, of the prophets,

are subject to the control of prophets. Let's pray. We'll ask God's blessing on our understanding.

Loving Heavenly Father, we want to focus our attention now on you and your word and that which you

have for us in your Word this morning.
