Summary
Why do we fill our lives with so much noise? Why does slowing down feel uncomfortable or even unproductive?
Madi dives into the story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and calls out something most of us don't want to admit… we're busy doing FOR Jesus, but not actually being WITH Him.
This episode gets honest about distraction, performance, busyness, and the pressure to "do more," and how it can pull us away from what actually matters most.
My prayer is that you would slow down, refocus your heart, and choose what matters most… being with Jesus over doing for Him. New episodes every Thursday at 7am EST 🤍

She had a sister called Mary who sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, |

| 0:53.9 | more and God has a version of more. |
| 0:57.0 | You know, we read verses in scripture like Ephesians 320 that we were made for abundantly more, |
| 1:02.5 | that God has abundantly more for us or John 1010 that the thief comes to steal, kill, |
| 1:07.7 | and destroy, but he came to give us life and life abundantly, |
| 1:11.5 | that there is more in God's eyes, more for our relationships, more for our mind, more for our |
| 1:17.3 | soul, more for our heart, more for our purpose. But the world also has this pressuring contrast |
| 1:24.2 | of more, that we have to do more, that we have to be more, that there's this pressure, |
| 1:29.1 | this feeling of I can never do enough, I can never measure up in this striving and this |
| 1:35.1 | performance that leaves us exhausted. And I know for me, I have so often found myself as |
| 1:42.3 | Martha in this story. |
| 1:44.2 | But my hope and prayer is that you and I would be a merry heart in a Martha world, that |
| 1:51.1 | we would have a merry spirit in a Martha world, that in the midst of so much going on, |
