Today we would like to talk about Trump again. The question, how should we Europeans deal with him, respond to his threats?

People have prepared for tariffs. The EU Commission has, we understand, a list of counter sanctions already prepared.

So when this happens, there will be this trade war and the question we would like to discuss

today, whether that is indeed the best strategy we could do.

What kind of is the step two and step three of that particular strategy?

What comes after if he retaliates?

Or whether we should do something different

and either not retaliate or signal other policy shifts and we can discuss them in detail.

That might be more effective.

I had made a number of proposals before.

I would like to discuss those.

Jack, what is your perspective on this?

I guess the first thing I've thought about this because we've all been dealing with Trump

for the last like two weeks or so since he came back into office.

I think, and I don't think this is just people following this and covering this like us,

but also people who actually have to deal with this on a policy level, dealing with Trump

and the administration can just be an exhausting process.

It just constantly seems like there's something new happening.

It seems like there's all this chaos.

You have to kind of hang on every single word and pronouncement.

Eventually it kind of gets really tiring.
