We've been talking a lot about Samsung on recent episodes.

We're talking about the Galaxy Fold.

We were talking about the scandal.

I don't know if you could call it a scandal, but the situation in Australia,

we're talking about that on a recent episode as well.

There's a lot of news with Samsung specifically big players, you know know and kind of

Samsung kind of access this important thing to track in the tech in the tech segment in general

because of how intertwined Samsung is a brand

with all the other brands because their components are involved and included in the products from so many other brands, particularly Apple,

but even companies like Huawei.

And you have this story that broke today.

Samsung profits likely fell 56% year on year,

including 683 million dollar Apple fine.

So a first thing worth mentioning here,

profits way down.

All right, 56% year on year,

that's massive, that's a massive swing in the entire marketplace. Then there's the

Apple fine piece which actually boosted them up a little bit. The fine in relationship to a topic

that we covered here recently as well about how

Apple was buying their olead displays from Samsung and then failed to meet the

original expectation on the contract for how many displays they were going to purchase

because of the lackluster performance of iPhone sales in conjunction with the lackluster performance of the premium branded Samsung sales.
