Gillis, is Ohio State starting 2026 by receiver unit already on the roster? Yes. Okay. Because, yes. Take into account, you probably would have said yes a year ago. Sure. Which is why your tone was like, yes, and not like, yeah, what are you talking about? Well, it comes to, it comes down to what Ohio State wants, right?

It's like, we want to be veteran. We want to be older. We want to have experience. It's like, okay, you could make a good case that Kershrenner Jr. doesn't have a lot of experience going in the next year. Philip Bell doesn't have a lot of experience going in next year. Chiquette and Guilford doesn't have a lot of experience going into next year.

Mr. Brock Boyd doesn't have a lot of experience going in next year. Shequed and Guilford doesn't have a lot of experience going into next year.

And you would just like to have somebody in that room who's played 30 games as a college player?

Is it, is it, they want to be older or they just want to, like, get the best bang for the buck?

I think it's a mix of both. And I think like by getting older, you probably feel better about your chances of getting deeper. That's if you don't believe in the guy who's younger, who's already on them. No, I think it just gives you a nice security blanket if that younger guy doesn't pan out as I expected. I think of Brock Boyd and Chris Henry Jr. are better than Kyle Parker and Devin McEwen.

They're going to play.

But if they don't transpire quite as quick as you would hope, then you've got two veteran options who are reliable, as opposed to trusting Quincy Porter and Milan Graham. So the reason we're starting here is because Brock Boyd lost his Black Stripe. He's the first freshman to do so. Christian Allegro, the linebacker, also losses.

But Brock Boy board has been a

conversation behind the scenes for about two weeks and this was the first like public tangible

thing that we can now hold on to as media members and kind of you know spice up for information this is

also i think the four straight year in a row that a wide receiver was the first freshman to lose his. Carnel in 2003, Hermia Smith in 2024, Quincy Porter in 2025,
