0:05.4

We share quick tips, things you can do right now, and then we add a little bit of chaos at the end of every episode.

0:11.5

We also keep it short, like this intro. Let's check it out.

0:16.1

We are back for what's up this week from the Do This Not That podcast.

0:20.2

This is our short episode. We'll break down what's going on this week in business and marketing and life? And then we still have our other episodes the rest of the week. So what is going on? So if there was one piece of content that I would be working on right now, whether I was a business marketer, a consumer marketer, nonprofit, whatever it is, it would be something to piggyback off of Spotify

0:38.3

wrapped. So Spotify wrapped is coming out. First of all, what is Spotify rap? Spotify is the

0:43.8

platform you listen to music on, podcast, whatever you use Spotify for as a zillion users. And every year,

0:51.3

they come out with something called Spotify wrappedapped and there's never a firm date

0:56.2

but generally it releases the last week of November or in the first few weeks of December so it's

1:02.0

coming out in the next few days and so Spotify Rapped is this personalized year-end recap

1:07.7

and how boring your brand is that can piggyback off of this thing.

1:31.3

And the reason you should is that according to Spotify, last year, for example, there were 435 million shares of wrapped content last year.

1:42.4

Now, the key stat, and this one's from World Data Research, which is pretty

1:46.1

wild, is that business to business and consumer brands who created wrapped style content related

1:54.3

to their own businesses, forget about the music, related to their own businesses last year,

1:59.8

if they launched it within five days of Spotify dropping

2:03.7

their wrapped, they saw a 50% increase in overall engagement levels. So what does that look like?

2:10.2

What does that feel like? How can you do that for your business? So let's say you're a B2B,

2:14.7

a business to business like software platform or something, right?

2:18.1

You can create a wrapped based on how people, you personalize it, how different companies

2:22.7

or people have been using your platform.
