What's the most messed up thing a friend has ever done to you?

I used to chat to this guy online for over a year on Skype, four or five nights a week.

Anywhere from three to five hours a time.

Definitely lots in common. Really sweet guy.

I would have done this anyway, but I started crushing on him.

I know he cared about me a lot too, but then one day about two years ago,

he deleted his Facebook

and stopped coming on to Skype or the original website we had met on. Not a word. Didn't

answer any texts or emails? I continued to send him the odd text message, happy birthday,

Xmas, etc. I finally heard back from them during this summer that he had been spending far too

much time online and had to cut it out completely.

Couldn't have told me this earlier?

I was worried that he had been maybe in an accident or something because the silence was very unusual from this guy.

I still care about him a lot, but I haven't really thought about him much recently.

He was super awesome and we were on the same wavelength.

I thought it was really cool that he understood what I was trying to say when I was having difficulty expressing myself and loved pop culture as much as I did. No doubt when an internet friend just disappears one day, it totally sucks, sure, but I think as I've gotten older, I'm kind of like, yeah, people have their own lives, priorities, things change,

and granted, yes, they could have totally told you that they were just getting off the internet.

But at the end of the day, some people need to make drastic changes in order to actualize real change.

One of my best friends, and one of the first people to be nice to me, said he loved me.

Then he spent a whole lot of time with me.

I thought things were going great. I started to feel the same. He asked if we could take it further.
