0:16.1	What's the gospel according to Jesus? Maybe that sounds like an obvious question to you. So how would you answer it?

0:28.9	to more groups than I can count.
0:30.8	And the answers I tend to get back are usually pretty similar. It's all really good stuff.
0:35.2	Some people think of the gospel as a set of beliefs like we're saved by grace or were
0:40.1	justified by faith or Jesus takes away my sins and gives me his righteous status.
0:46.3	Other people think about the gospel as actual news, right? So Jesus died for my sins.
0:52.1	Jesus wants to live in my heart.
0:54.4	Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with me.
0:58.3	Now these are all true statements, but can you find a single verse in the Bible where Jesus calls those specific things the gospel?
1:06.3	Because Jesus, believe it or not, actually had a lot to say about the gospel.
1:10.7	In fact, I want to give you a few highlights and I want to see if you can catch the
1:14.8	theme here. Okay? Matthew 423. Jesus went throughout Galilee preaching in their synagogues and
1:21.0	proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom and healing every disease and sickness
1:26.0	among the people. Luke 443, but he, Jesus, said, I must proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to other towns also because that is why I was sent.
1:37.3	Or Mark 115, The Kingdom of God has come near, repent and believe the Gospel.
