We are rounding out with day seven of our balancing back from disappointment devotion on the Bible

app.

I'm going to read the scripture and Tori is going to pick up with the Devo.

Let's do it.

The scripture is one that we all probably know but need to read more often.

It's Philippians chapter 4 verse 13 and it says this,

For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.

I love that.

The devotional says, I read a book by a former U.S. soldier, now a Bible teacher, who provided

some powerful advice on bouncing back from the most discouraging moments of our lives.

In one chapter he describes a time in his career when he was in a room looking eye-to-eye

with a man he knew to be his enemy and the only weapon he had on hand was his bayonet.

In this terrifying moment he explains how he lived to tell the tale by violently taking

the other man's life.

He also goes on to describe the years of torment that followed that moment, full of regret,

guilt and bitterness.
