And as many of you probably know, I'm a wannabe homesteader of sorts and spring has sprung.

Let us hope.

Which means things are budding and the work begins.

And one of the things I'm doing, I'm trying to almost triple my sweet potato yield.

And I will get to the money point, okay?

So if you don't like homesteading, just hang tight.

But I want to triple the sweet potato yield because I have a triplet.

I think we'll end up having a, as far as I calculated, a year's worth of my family's

consumption of sweet potatoes, which is in and of itself an amazing thing, because we

don't need a few of them.

We eat a lot of them.

And at all the calculations, didn't even use a spreadsheet, got it all figured out.

So in order to triple the yield, I needed to improve the bed conditions a lot.

And I had about nine inches of good soil.

And then it was just like construction fill rocks, I mean huge rocks at some point.

So I removed the top good soil, set it aside, dug out the next two feet of lousy, will

burrow it out.

And I'm in the middle of this project as I'm talking to you about this.

And it's a fairly backbreaking for me.

I'm not like out of shape, but I'm not used to doing this kind of manual labor.
