Summary

At a recent YNAB all-hands meeting, Sarah gave a personal presentation about her "Mama's Method," rules her mother gave her for living well. Sarah told them in YNAB Four Rules style:

Give every moment a job
Embrace yourself and others
Roll with it
Age is just a number (play a lot!)

In honor of Sarah's presentation, and upcoming Mother's Day, YNAB wants to hear from you! YNAB is running a contest between now and May 11th. The contest is simple: share your mother's method to living well, in the style of the YNAB Four Rules if you can. One person will be chosen at random, and the winner will receive a $100 VISA gift card!

To enter the contest, write a post with your mother's rules to live by, told in YNAB "four rules" style, on any of YNAB's social media channels -- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Tik Tok. Make sure to tag YNAB, and include the hashtag #fourrulestoliveby in your post. Winner will be announced on May 11th, 2023!

0:19.4	we're running. So a little bit of background. We run these things called all hands meetings,
0:24.2	and we go in order of when you were hired at Wineapp, and we always have kind of like company
0:29.6	stuff, and then we do a, you know, one person does a personal presentation on whatever they would like.
0:35.4	And Sarah, who is fairly famous for her, you know, all of her doings on her social channels,
0:42.9	she is even more famous internally for this amazing presentation she gave about what she called
0:49.5	her Mama's Method for rules to live by. And in light of Mother's Day, we thought we would just
0:56.4	shed a little more light on this, and we'll end this with a little bit of a, well, a contest
1:01.4	where, you know, you can enter. So let me just give you an example of what Sarah's mother had for
1:09.6	her rules to live by. And they're little riffs on Wineapp's rules. So her first rule is to give
1:15.4	every moment a job. I love that. Her second rule, embrace yourself and others. And I like the note
1:25.2	that Sarah mentioned where she said she never once felt like she couldn't be herself or explore
1:29.5	different interests. Renaissance woman, as it were. Third rule sounds pretty unfamiliar. Just
1:35.5	roll with it. And it's like we can figure this out. We can do this. It'll be fine. And then the
1:40.9	fourth rule, where we call it ageing your money, her Mama's wisdom would be age is just a number.
1:46.9	And it's specifically, she talks about play, just playing, playing with the grandkids. And I love
1:54.5	that. I really love that. The secret to my now late grandpa's age, he lived to six stays short
2:01.6	of a hundred. And I'm convinced that his secret was also play. He would play all the time. He was
2:08.0	98. And I remember watching him still kick a soccer ball back and forth with one of his great,
2:13.6	gosh, great, great grandkids. It was. So anyway, I'm curious what you would think if you were to
