makeup bag? Like, right now. And it's true, I get asked an awful lot, what's in your makeup bag? What

products are you using right now? Now, if you're new to the show,

maybe you've been tuning in hashtag a potter day in May, you may be thinking, hang on a tick,

I thought this podcast was all about wellness and health or inspiring guests in the books

that will change your life, and you're not wrong. But if you don't know my background, I was a

magazine beauty editor for 15 years before moving into podcasting and freelance journalism. I am still very much entrenched in the beauty industry,

in the magazine world, and so get to try things before they launch, work with brands on new product

development, and have probably tried, swatched or seen inside a product before or as it hits the shelves. I've been very lucky to go into

labs. I've seen a lipstick before it's a lipstick. It's a wonderful place to be. I am also a very

low-level trained makeup artist, meaning I did the training. It was three-day course.

It was amazing. But I do it for friends and I apologize if need be. I've never had to, but

you know, it's always good to have that caveat. But that's why I feel very confident talking

about skincare and makeup and why I'm very happy to share the contents of my current makeup bag

and why I think these products are so good. And in all seriousness,

I take my role as somebody in the beauty industry, a content creator very, very seriously.

If you listen to this podcast regularly, you'll know that I would hate to steer you in the one direction, make you spend money that you don't need to spend. I will always, always

be on your side and try to get the best product

into your hands. So, first things first, the bag itself is just as important as the contents.

Now, I've never been a fan of a top opening zip bag. You know what I mean, like a pouch or a

coin purse, but big. I have much preferred a zipped travel

bag, the ones that lie flat and open around, so you flip open the top to reveal what's inside.
