Hello and welcome to The Week Junior show. I'm Bex and I'm joined by writers Joe and Eve from

the Week Junior, a magazine making sense of the world for 8 to 14 year olds. This week, the team

will be talking about some of the news featured in this week's issue, including breaking down

what's been happening in the Middle East. We'll also be discussing

a Stone Age discovery in Germany, a new Olympic sport, and whether adverts played during sports

are distracting for viewers. As well as that, we've also got an exclusive interview with some of the cast

of Disney Pixar's new film Hoppers. But more on that later. In this week's issue of the magazine, there is a story about the Fido Awards that took place in London last weekend, which celebrate the best dog performances in films over the last year. So it got me thinking, who's your favourite animal character in a film? Eve, how about you?

Well, I'm going to have to mention two here. I think an honourable

mention is Paddington Bear, and I've probably stolen everyone's favourite answer, but we just

love Paddington Bear. He's great. But another animal character I love is Pascal the

chameleon from Tangled, because Tangled is one of my favourite films ever. And I would just

love to have a little Pascal sitting on my shoulder helping me go about my day. He's just so cute. A little pal with you at all times. I respect that. That's a lovely one. Joe, how about you? I've gone with something that's maybe a bit niche, but have you ever seen Horton His or Who? Yes. Yeah, so it's Horton, I'm going with. There's this little yellow ball of fuzz called Katie, who's very cute. She's in the movie. I googled her this morning, and she's apparently supposed to be a yak, although she doesn't really look like a yak. She doesn't have many lines, but I won't give much away. But I think she steals every single scene she's in.

She's probably only in it for like a minute overall.

Oh, I do love a good animal scene stealer.

I'm going for a little pig called Babe.

Now, I love Babe, the original film. If you don't know, it's all about,

well, I think it was from a book by Dick King Smith, right, called The Sheep Pig. And it was

a, about a pig who can speak to sheep and help to round them up. And I just think Babe is one

of the cutest creatures out there. So I think I'm going to go for Babe, for my character,

for my favourite animal.
