I'm Jay Warner Wallace.

Now, last week we started a series on the problem of evil because I think so much of the

objections we hear from people if

they're pointing to injustice across the planet if they're pointing to even

the what they believe are the evil actions of Christians whatever they're

pointing to that really is draws a distinction between you know a loving God

an all-powerful God and the way the world really is today,

is really an objection that kind of runs along the lines of, well, hey, why would God, if he's all this powerful and all this loving, allow that junk to happen?

Why would he allow his followers to behave that way? Why would he allow even his non-followers in the world to do this kind of stuff to his followers?

I mean, there's lots of ways that the problem of evil gets sketched out and the objections offered by your friends and family members.

And so I think it's really important for us to at least have some kind of response ready as we think about how the God might exist and still have the allow all this nonsense we see in the world.

Now, not only that, if you're a Christian, you will suffer.

You will suffer repeatedly over the course of your life.
