What product self-destructed the first time you used it?

Five dollar shades. Bent over to pick up a quarter that I dropped, glasses fell down off of my shirt.

Plastic cracked, lenses popped out. That was a $5 quarter that I picked up.

A baseball bat. Not kidding. First throw, first hit, and snap. An oven timer. We did a minute test

just to see how loud it was. The hammer inside shook the timer so hard, springs and screws started

falling out, like straight out of a Tom and Jerry episode the amount of crap that fell out of this

thing.

It stopped ringing when it finally broke itself.

Now we have an electronic oven timer.

There's less shaking.

A can opener from the dollar store.

I paid $1 and got $0 value from it.

I also had a hell of a time opening a can of beans.

I had a candy floss maker when I was younger.

It lasted a day.

My brother received one of those air hogs remote control airplanes for Christmas.

The very first flight it went out of range from the remote and just kept going into the horizon.

We searched for it, but never found it. At the time,

it was devastating for him. My family didn't have a lot of money, so we couldn't get much

for Christmas. That was pretty much his only gift that year, and my parents couldn't afford

to replace it. They're in a better place financially now, so it's a funny Christmas story we tell

every year. The cookie tongs at my old work.
