What phase did you shock your parents by never growing out of?

Skateboarding. I'm 37, and I'm still at it 27 years later. Falls hurt so much more now,

probably because of the falls from 15 years ago. Still, I've never found anything that comes

close to replacing it in my life.

My obsession with flying.

I'm working on my instrument rating now.

I started playing cocktail piano music for parties at age 14 just for fun.

Then I started getting paid handsomely for it with generous tips in the brandy-snifter.

Now I do it regularly when asked for special occasions. Listening to metal music. I pushed through my teenage years and I still love it. I'm 35 and I still

listen to a lot of the heavier stuff. I grew out of the image, but not the music.

Playing video games and playing bass guitar and spinning records.

Mine convinced me that all of my old Magic the Gathering cards were a waste of money.

I sold them all 17 years ago, and seeing their value today is disgusting.

One of my friends said his father tore up his decks to get him to stop wasting his damn time, and apparently one of the cards was a black lotus.

Listening to music all the time, I just love picking up an album, sitting my butt down, and just listening to it start to finish without ever leaving my seat.

Feels a lot like watching a good movie afterwards. I don't know many

people that do this either. My sister did a report on the meat industry as a freshman in high

school. She became a vegan as a result. She's now 32 and has been strictly vegan ever since.

Yeah, it turns out that when we see the start-to-finish process up close,

a lot of people just outright refuse to have anything to do with that crap.

Fair enough.

Not everyone, but then again, most people who work in the industry are part of one isolated process,
