Sometimes we get so distracted, frankly, and discouraged by what everybody else is doing around us,

that we forget what we're supposed to do.

Even in a little book like Jude, it's really easy to start concentrating on these apostates and these wicked people

and start fussing about them and forget that the book was not simply written so you could identify them.

It was written so that you could become

what God wants you to become. You see, the Lord always has a positive application of truth

in the lives of His people. We've continued our study and we pick up today in Jude, verse 16,

where the Bible says these are murmurs complainers walking after

their own lust and their mouth speak of great swelling words having men's persons in admiration

because of advantage but beloved remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles

of our Lord Jesus Christ,

how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time who should walk after their own

ungodly lust. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the spirit, but ye

beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
