But because we're on a short hiatus to do some hiring and ramp up show production,

I wanted to recommend a few early episodes for all you new listeners out there.

Here's some of my favorites in order of appearance.

Sins of the Father is a show from November 14th.

It tells the story of a woman who has been fighting the Catholic Church for years.

The truth is that every diocese has this problem and that the the incidence looks to be about 6 to 10% of priests

are guilty of sexually abusing children over the last several decades.

The wildfires to come, which aired a day before that,

is about what comes next for places like Paradise California

that have been obliterated in record-setting fires this season.

If humans left California tonight, California would still have large fires and some of them would burn to the Pacific.

And that's just the reality of that physical geography.

Finally, one of our earliest episodes is still one of my favorites. It's called

Now is a Good Time to Cheat on Your Taxes. In that one, a ProPublica reporter takes us inside

a whole bunch of drama at the IRS. You're going to have to trust us. It's going to surprise you.
