As someone who spent six years covering Capitol Hill and the White House, I can tell you

that official Washington likes to call things by weird names, names that serve political

purposes. Take, for example, the Inflation Reduction Act.

With the Inflation Reduction Act, this Senate Democratic majority has achieved what countless

others have come to Washington promising to do, but ultimately fail to deliver.

Okay, fine, Chuck Schumer, whatever you say.

The truth is, this bill is about climate change, no matter what Senate Democrats had

to call it to get West Virginia's Joe Manchin on board.

So you could give this thing a few other names.

I mean, there's the mansion made this take a while, actually.
