I wanted to make a short pastoral video that introduces you to the key ingredients

you need in your life to become more like Jesus. In one sense, this is the goal of the Christian

life, Christ-likeness. I say the goal because John says in 1st John chapter 3, verse 2,

Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared, but we know that

when he appears, we shall be like him because we shall see him as he is.

In other words, when we see Jesus in glory, we're going to become like him insofar as it's

humanly possible.

So maturity for the believer is growing to resemble the life and love of Jesus more and more

as we anticipate our future glorification. But even right now, God wants us to become more like Jesus.

Paul wrote to the Ephesians, speaking the truth and love, we are to grow up in every way

into Him who is the head into Christ. So if the goal is Christ's likeness, how do we

become more like Jesus now as we anticipate seeing Him in glory?

First things first, we can't talk about healthy spiritual formation without discussing the concept of worship.
