Tim's not with us today, but we're here to reflect on the very British

scandals that have erupted recently, but more widely as well. We'll contextualize the scandals.

You know what we're talking about this weekend, but we will delve deeper than that.

But Miranda, I want, you know, when we were here earlier this week, we're all in the

studio.

And you had revealed that you had spontaneously gone on holiday.

Now, I don't spontaneously go to the supermarket, and I was so impressed that you sort

of woke up and just thought,

all right, I'm off to the sun. What happened? Well, shall I tell you what happened?

The state schools seem to have gone to a two week half term and by the beginning of the

second week, it was like, what? How are they not back at school yet? This is a total nutter disaster. So we just thought,

let's go away. And I have to say that there were some 75 pound flights to Catania on the

east coast of Sicily. And we thought, well, it'd be rude not to take them up on their kind offer.

So we went to Katania and it's absolutely amazing and I totally recommend

that everyone visits Sicily at this time of year because it was hot, incredible food. We swam in the

sea every day, twice a day. I mean, to the horror of the Sicilians who just couldn't believe

that the barbaric Brits were getting into cold water when the date was, you know, the horror of the Sicilians who just couldn't believe that the barbaric Brits were getting

beautiful and the history is incredible. And Catania is a city. I think lots of people just

use it as a hop-off point for the plane. But the center of Catania is this, you know, it was a Spanish colonial

capital as well as all the Baroque architecture. It's exquisite, amazing. You know, you're walking
