Over the weekend, the world lost one of the legendary racing drivers, Sterling Moss,

represented far more than that, a true superstar who transcended motorsport

Well, Mark, just to start off,

what springs instantly to mind when you think of Sterling Moss?

On many things, but I think, visually I think of him in his pale blue Dunlop overalls

and the white peak cap open face helmet. He's reclined, super relaxed stands behind the wheel,

the casual wave of thanks as he lapsed someone.

Everything just looked just so graceful and natural.

There's pictures of him showing Jim Clark out of water ski, and he looks like an athlete.

He's got his hold of the rack with one hand and just sort of directing Jim.

He just looks so poised.

And in life, he was approachable and cheery.

But decades ago, I read the autobiography.

He did all about my life.

And it was largely completed just before his accident at Goodwood.

And what was fascinating about the man in those pages, the emerged in those pages that contrasted with the

sterling anew which was you know a long time to post his career was um incredible self-belief
