This is episode 289, and it's called What Liz Said.

So I was thinking, I'm in full book mode, because my new book, Everything A Spiritual, came

out last week, and I was thinking, I should read a section of the new book to my Robcast

friends, but I should read it and then do like running commentary on it.

You with me on this?

Because there's the thing that you said, but then there's always more.

There's always your own commentary on what you said.

You can never fit at all in a book.

It's like there are these etchings on the page, these black letters on the white paper.

There's what I typed, but then there's all that space around the actual words, which

is where all the backstory and all the commentary and all the discussion and even more storytelling

goes on.

So I was like, what an interesting exercise to read a section, but then pause whenever

there's more to tell, like in almost in the spaces between the letters or in the spaces

between the lines.

So I'm going to read you this section and it's actually the section, there are no chapters

in the book, by the way, and there's no table of contents.

It just starts and just goes because, well, because that's what it wanted to be.

You know what I mean?

What is the reason?

Because that's how it asked to be brought into the world.
