Welcome to the Bible Study. I'm Stephen Lawson, president of One Passion Ministries.

And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture so that you can better understand the word of God

and put it into practice in your life. Join me now as we look together into this

section of the Bible. So Father as we now meet and look into your word, we do ask that you would speak

powerfully to our hearts, that your Holy Spirit would bring the truth home to our

innermost being that you would give us grace to assimilate your word into our own lives.

I thank you for these men who have so faithfully come week after week.

And I pray that while we're off over the next several weeks that you would

continue to minister to them, attend to their needs, continue to grow them in the grace and knowledge of Christ,

and then I pray that we will not lose any momentum

when we step back into the flow of our study.

We thank you for the place that we have to meet here,

Herb's House, and how wonderfully this has worked out for us to be here.

So we commit ourselves to you and this study today in Christ's name.

Amen. Okay, men. We are in the Gospel of Luke. The Gospel of Luke and you

probably are aware and it's interesting as I travel. In fact I've been up in South Bend, Indiana the last three days and doing a pastor's conference, not at Notre Dame by the way.

Though I stayed at Notre Dame and the taxi driver took me in.

I got to the hotel like at 11 o'clock at night and I walk up to the front door and

the man who greets me at the front door said, yeah, what Jesus taught about conversion from the Gospel of Mark and just like spontaneously

is tracking with us just randomly as I walk into a hotel, so he said,

be nice to Kent, okay?

So, who knows who all is watching this,
