section of the Bible. Okay I need you to turn to the Gospel of Mark.

Gospel of Mark.

And the title of today's lesson is what Jesus taught about conversion. And we're going to be in the

Gospel of Mark. And let me tell you why we are in the Gospel of Mark. couple maybe it was a month ago we and we've been

going first by verse through first John and we're going to step back into that in

the near future but we came to some past into that

the near future. But we came to some passages in chapter 3 of 1st John

that dealt with the new birth.

And I could tell that I put my finger on a live nerve, especially when I said that the new birth is an immediate act of God.

It's not something that takes place over a period of time, that it takes place in the twinkling of an eye.

And I could tell by some of the response that that was almost like a new thought.

And I realized we need to be crystal clear about the new birth and conversion.

And that's the heads and tails of the same coin. birth and conversion.

Those are two different acts that take place at exactly the same moment.

And so I have decided to just step out of our series on 1st John just briefly.

And I want to nail down what it is to be converted. And the reason I want to do so is three reasons.

Number one I want you to be converted. And I just know when you get this many people together in a

Bible study that there's going to be more than one person who's not converted.
