What's the wildest, so where are they now, revelation about someone from your past?

I googled my first grade crush and discovered a long list of arrests and his untimely death

a few months ago. This was written in 2012. The first girl I ever had a big crush on in

sixth or seventh grade believes that December 21st really is the end of the world.

Last I checked, she had moved to Brazil, bought a house, a used Porsche, and racked up 30 to 40 grand in credit card debt.

She hasn't worked a day in just over a year.

December 22nd is going to be a rough day for a lot of people. Went to middle school

with this really cute girl, but she had some emotional problems. She'd cry a lot and always

get into trouble. Twenty years later, I get a hold of her after my divorce because I don't know why.

She's beaten cancer and is very well adjusted. We're dating now, couldn't be happier. My dad looked

up someone he used to be good friends with when he was younger. Turns out he's the creator of a game

called Club Penguin and he sold that game to Disney and got around $100 million. My dad's neighbor

and childhood friend went ape on his entire family with a hatchet.

A friend who everyone thought was an idiot is now a millionaire. I'm really happy for him. I never thought he was an idiot.

You could still be an idiot and be a millionaire, by the way.

Some guy I went to school with did a surfing trip around the world. Sold his stuff and settled down on some island halfway around the world, I can't remember the name of where.

He became intimate with one of the natives, lived on a beach and sold dream catchers to tourists. Go figure.

A year or two back I googled my best friend from second and third grade, someone I hadn't seen in about 30 years, and my last memory of whom was us playing with our Han Solo and Boba Fett action

figures. He's an executive at Pixar. It was about then that my midlife crisis went into

full swing. And you know what? Fair enough. When you have that to compare yourself to a little

bit of ruminating and future

panicking is fair enough. Luckily for me, my friends are all just as big a group of losers as I am.
