chapter 16. In Jesus is teaching his disciples what it's going to be like

after he goes to the cross and after he passes away and then even beyond that

after he ascends back to heaven. And he says, surprisingly, that it will be better

for them. He says it's to their advantage that he goes away. Because if he does

not go away, the Holy Spirit will not be sent to them. Now, I don't know the

reasons why the Father did not send the Spirit while Jesus was there, why it seems

he could not be there while Jesus was there. They're all kind of spiritual

mysteries. We don't understand. But I do understand this. Jesus himself, who is our

Savior, our Lord, our God says to us, it is better for you to have the Holy

Spirit present in your life 24 seven than to have the opportunity to walk with

me on this earth and be with me from time to time in a physical sort of way.
