My name is Dan Lane.

And I recorded this episode to give you a really quick overview to tell you what you can expect from the rental income podcast.

So on this show, we interview regular, ordinary, everyday people that own rental properties.

I don't like talking to people that own big apartment buildings or people with thousands and thousands of rentals.

I personally just can't relate to them.

So I like talking to people that maybe have just bought their first rental property,

or maybe someone that's been doing this for five or 10 years and has a bunch of rental

properties, or even someone that has reached financial independence, someone that has

enough rental income

that they've been able to replace their job income and now they live off rental property.

So we really cover the whole gamut on this show.

I'm not trying to push any one way to do this.

Everybody has their own way that they've gone about building their rentals, everyone's

starting from a different place. So I'm just genuinely curious about what people are doing,

and that's what I do every Tuesday. I interview someone and figure out how they got to where they

are today. If you're curious about me, I started this podcast

in 2014 because my wife and I had just bought a new house and I wanted to turn our old house

into a rental. And after I got the first rent check, I was hooked. And I wanted to figure out how to do this again,
