Shambles the the Postal Service in Houston refuses to release the files.

This is going on in your post office too.

For each case of mail theft at Houston area post officers by their employees.

You know your stuff arrives in the post box in the in your mailbox and

they steal it. The office of the Inspector General says there were

243 cases where a USPS employee has been found culpable of mail theft in the

southern region. Your things arrive in your mailbox and a postal employee steals it.

We're not talking about porch pirates.

We're talking about your mailman himself or the staff working there.

has handled more than 240 cases in which a USPS employee stole mail

in the southern region.

Thirteen investigates requested the files for each one of those cases a month ago.

Today we were told by their public records team it could take another six months to get those files six months.

We also just had three requests for files relating to issues at three Houston area

USPS facilities flat out rejected.

The Postal Inspection Service claims giving us those files, among other reasons, could disclose
