1988 a leap year just as this is the Chamber of Commerce of Anthony Texas on the

Texas Mexico border in El Paso County. They're sitting around. Guys, we got to have a way to

pitch our city. When we try to get a customer to come out and visit our

plant they go where's Anthony?

And we go, you know, if you look at a map of Texas,

you know the part you haven't been to, that's most of it, everything west of the Pakers, we're one of the many many many

towns out there. Well what distinguishes you not a damn thing, not not a damn

thing. In some business Not a damn thing

And some businessman in that town, God bless him

Some businessman in that town said you know what I'm tired of this

guys just put our hands together. Let's have a couple of beers.

It's going to be like the water buffaloes in the Flintstones.

We're gonna throw every stupid idea out there.

And by God, we're locking the door and we ain't leaving

until we come up with something that makes Anthony Texas special. And if we have to, we'll make it up.

It doesn't matter.

But we're going to be the blank capital of the world.
